I have moved from my Slim over to a Street Glide...while my FLS will always be my first bike, the FLHXs is something really to behold. Glad I got my experieince on the Slim before going with a touring bike. Lovin' it!
Dutch,
I have been thinking about making the switch to a SG myself, even if it means getting an older one (pre- high output 103)
The wife is pushing for me to get rid of the bike, I am hoping a more comfortable passenger set up will help with her wanting to go for longer trips. I just can't justify trying to turn the slim into a bagger, seems sacrelugious.
You will be back, lol. I had two Street Glides then sold them and got a softail. I even test rode another Street Glide last week at an open house, with custom paint, upgraded stereo, lots of chrome and I still can't give up my softail. Too much vibration and engine noise for me. Hope you have better luck….
So far I am diggin it. I do miss my Slim, and yea I will get another softail at some point. My fiancé' and I are headed to sturgis so this will help. Almost through the 500 mile break in already, hasn't even been a week hehe
