Well speaking of missing riding time I received a call from the dealership today. Sure enough there were some pinched wires in right hand controls switch housing which led to the wire insulation rubbing off.
When I introduced water to the equation by washing the bike, I managed to blow the circuit board. Now the whole switch housing has to be replaced. 5-7 business days for the part to arrive.
Good thing I'm going camping this weekend. I hope to be riding next weekend.
