Default Anyone using the PM hand conrols?

Was thinking about internally wiring the bars and getting some Performance Machine handcontrols this winter.

http://www.performancemachine.com/Ca...aspx?display=5

But wondering how the high/low beam and the run/stop buttons will work since there's no "2-way switch" on the PM controls.

Couldn't find much info about it, but saw on another forum that this guy with a 03 couldn't get the killswitch to work instead of the run/stop.

Most after market controls with momentary switches wont have the capabilty to keep your oem kill switch with out some electrical engineer concept which is possible but to bulky.
The high/low headlight is easy get a relay and have it wired up between the controls and the harness. thats what Im currently doing and it does work.
The run wire Im running directly so when I turn the key it automatically opens. So there will be no kill switch. My start will be with a car style ignition switch.

You can keep the start button with a momentary switch since they are normally open switches then momentarilly closed when pushed.

Hopefully someone has a simple answer for both of us.

Good luck

Doctor: What stuff are you reffering to? I was thinking about getting the whole controls in black.

But I thought this would be a simple swap. If I have to start messing with extra relays and stuff, I'm probably just gonna keep the stock ones, even though they are big and ugly....

The guy I was reffering to on the other forum, said everything worked fine, except the killswitch, which "was in run-mode" when he hold in the killswitch, but went to "off" when he released it. To me it just sounded like it was reversed somehow. If it was normally in runmode, and just went to "off" when you hold the killswitch, it would be perfect...

Are there any other replacement controls which are plug and play? Don't like the plastic look on the stock ones......
