Stock, my '13 Slim ran about 225, 250° in traffic.
(Also using the H-D dipstick oil temp gauge)
After that gawd-awful dealer stage 1 "download" it soared to 250, 275° in traffic.
Hot enough to make me want to get off.
After installing the V&H FuelPak3 with a proper map, it runs around 200° and rarely exceeds 225° even in stop-n-go traffic.
I do not have an oil cooler...

Thanks Jam. I really didn't need yet another bit of encouragement to buy a tuner! 😁

The top three best bang-for-the-buck mods I did to mine was Custom Dynamics LEDs all around, a Shotgun Shock and the V&H FP3, not necessarily in that order...

I know, I don't live in Florida but my 07 ultra (true duals, AC, Sert) rarely see 220F (fairing mount gauge) even when its 35F and I am in traffic. The most I have ever seen is 235F when I rode the bike down south. I am feeling lucky.

Did you check your dipstick to make sure its right and calibrated? Boil water and put it in and it should read 212, the temp of boiling water.

after I did the stg1 and cams with SERT and dyno my oil temp on average is usually 215 -220 running down the road,,

When it was new, Pre-motor work it used to average around 245.
