Will a new 103B ('14 or '15) fit the frame of a 2003 Fatboy? If so, how about the old ECM. Will it adapt? Throttle cables, other 2003 components?
If this is workable, I just might do it.
The answer to if it will fit, is yes. The computer for the new motor need to be brought over with it, assuming used, or purchased if new. I think the Speedo will also need to be changed. The cables and wiring should be close but will probably need to be modified slightly.
I agree with Tampa, that it might be better to consider an S&S upgrade. By the time you buy everything you need and tweak it all to work, it might just be cheaper in the long run. If you are looking for performance, the 103 won't be much of an upgrade anyway.
Also, are you staying with your 5 speed trans or getting the 6 with the upgrade? Is your current bike carb or EFI? You might need a fuel system if it is a carb. Lot's of considerations.
