Looking at my bike I notice there's an extra power wire (fairly large, 12 gauge at least) coming off the positive battery terminal and an extra ground stacked on the main grounding stud.
I'll be taking the seat and tank off this weekend to do some mods and will trace these wires but for the life of me I can't think of anything it could be. There's nothing visible on the bike that isn't stock, there's no alarm installed (at least I don't have access to it if there is!).

Any ideas what I might be looking for?
I'm thinking it's for your Battery Tender? Usually comes standard on the newer Harleys. Most come out from under the seat.

That could very well be it! I do have one but never thought of that, figured they were stock items and would therefor be wired in much cleaner. That'll be very easy to rule in or out. Thanks much!

No problem....I was able to get out your way last fall. Finally checked the Blue Ridge Parkway off the "Gotta Ride" list. Thinking I might put it back on the list!!
