Gone through two batteries. i have a fatboy, 04 which is an 88, but now she has a big bore kit, 96, so im thinkin 310cca just doesnt cut it anymore. If the battery is like 99% it wont fire her up. The security brings it down enough that 3 days later i gotta jump it. I think its poor choice of a replacement battery that doesnt compensate for the added compression. According to the testing of the charging circute by the book, she is recharging 12.75, right on cue. I think i picked a poor choice of battery last time
Can Someone point me to a "non 300dollar" battery, perferably made in the usa
So far it's never failed with the Andrews 26 cams I have, remember some cams have a high CC and high compression pistons or heads can put a lot more strain on the battery and starter that the stockers.
Bet there is some sort of draw on the Battery. Battery in my Ultra with 95" and 203 cams never had an issue starting even after sitting for a couple weeks with security on. Time to start testing circuits.

The charging voltage is 12.75? Or is that the battery voltage?
The charging voltage stated is not enough. Your charging system should be in the high 13's with the engine around 2k. A set of compression releases might be a plus to. My 02 RG with a high compression 95 needed them to be easier on the starter and battery. It would start without but when hot would require several tries at the button before kicking over before installing the compression releases.
