What makes the Deluxe without bags and windshield look better than a Heritage without bags and a windshield, assuming both have white walls? I can see little things, like the tombstone tail light, etc.... Personally, I like the half moon floorboards and the cats eye dash better on the Heritage.
obviously both are very similar. the only thing that is goofy on the heritage without bags is the rear turn signal bar. On the deluxe they're tucked in nice and tight to the fender, but they stick out like giant lollipops on the heritage. The big turn off of the heritage for me was the studs and the conches. Some people dig it but a lot really dislike it. If they offered the heritage without all that I'd likely be riding around on one right now.
Well there may be hope for me yet. Received an offer of $18K over the phone for my BO from the dealer I bought it from. Going up there tomorrow to possibly work a deal on a new Deluxe.
I'm just the opposite of the OP...I'd give anything to have a Breakout. I've tried 3 times in 2013 and finally gave up. As for changing it...just pipes, a SE AC, 6-8" risers and a short sissy bar.
I went with the Heritage because I didn't want a lowered bike. I agree with the ugly turn signals and the studs being a turn off and both will be swapped out. Same with the bars.
The one thing I really love about the Deluxe and didn't realize it until afterwards is the clean front fender.
Well its a done deal!!! They paid off the BO and the numbers worked out. Im the proud owner of a 2015 Morocco Gold Deluxe. There were only 2 left in the state of TX so its being shipped from another dealer and being delivered to me tomorrow. Man I'm excited!!!!
