I have Vance and Hines Shortshots Staggered pipes in matte black (though they look grey on my bike). Previous owner put them in. I am contemplating getting the V&H quiet baffles for them just to lower the volume a touch (residential neighborhood, trying to be a good motorcyclist for the neighbors, though the kids love it when they hear me start the bike up). But they sound a little like thunder, which is great in traffic for distracted cagers, and every time I start the bike up I can't help but smile.
Show me pics of your pipes? I'm trying to decide what looks the coolest for my softail slim....
Do you have a picture of your bike sir? Reason for asking is that the style pipes go well with the color of the bike and also depends on your personal taste be it for performance and looks. I don't have a slim but a friend of mine has. Her's is the two-tone amber whisky and black. Because of that, she wants her pipes to be also black. Rineharts I believe is what she liked.
