Default Heritage Softail Differences?

Does anyone know if there is a difference in the rear fender size/bag mounts from the evo generation to the twin cam generation - I have a 1993 heritage softail classic that I want to get a driver backrest for my solo seat. Anyone know of any options for that? I liked the kuryakyn multi-purpose backrest but there dont seem to be any brackets that fit my year.

I am pretty certain the rear fenders and accessory mounts like sissy bars/bags will interchange up until 2006 when the 200mm rear tire came out. I know I've used Evo accessory bag mounts on my 2003 twin cam.

I have an HD accessory seat with a built in removable backrest that is made for an EVO but the prior owner fabbed up a ˝ longer rear bracket to make it work on my twin cam.

I'd suggest you look on eBay for a model that will fit your bike, I've had great luck buying HD brand accessories there. I don't know of any solo seat backrests made by HD.

My Road King had an excellent Corbin seat that had a built in hole for a backrest, they make them for softails too and I bought mine on eBay so perhaps that's an option?

Some ideas for you, hopefully someone smarter than me will chime in too.

Thanks, I tried a quick release package deal from ebay and it was cheap chinese crap - the brackets werent symmetrical in their fit, one clamp fit fine, the other was too thick and wouldnt, it was frusterating to say the least! I guess you get what you pay for, to a point.
