I'm 6ft and the wife does ride with me at times. I'm looking for something that will do a good job keeping the wind off my chest and something that won't cause a lot of helmet buffeting for either of us.
I would like a quick detach because the only time I will use the windshield is when we ride to the mountains, 75 miles away.
I'm 6'4, occasionally commute to work 72 miles (one way). Usually travel at 75 mph with tops of 85 mph. I don't need a windshield ...neither does my OL when we ride 2-up.
I find that for long distance riding it is great to use the three-quarter helmet with shield. I have never tried a windshield but with the helmet all my problems are solved. I've used that set up for over 200 miles a day. Anything you miles or less I wear my half helmet.

With the BO, no matter what windshield you get you're in for some buffeting. The wind comes up from under the shield. HD makes "Fangs" for other bikes that solve that problem, but none for the BO.
I have the detachable sport shield, and even though I made a set of fangs for it, I still got enough wind to vibrate the visor on my 3/4 helmet so I switched to a Bell Pit Boss 1/2 helmet and it's much better.
