Oil ?
This is a wierd one, I have 05 deluxe got my 1000 mile service 500 miles ago. When I ride on interstate I will have a drop of what appears to be oil coming up the right side of the fuel tank under the fuel gage. I will wipe it off only to have it appear again and it runs with the wind towards the back of the bike. Now when I stop I will find a small amout that is running down the back of the front fender. I will also find a small amount on top of the front rocker that blows back with the wind. I have searched the bike over and have no leaks, triple checked the front rocker box and it is not leaking. The oil is light brown and in very small amounts, it doesn't even drip to ground. I notice the grease on where the frame and forks knuckle up is the same color. Is it possible the grease has liquified in the heat and drips once in a while. I know they greased it during the 1000 mile service. Thanks
It might be totally unrelated, but a local dealer around here uses Lubriplate white lube in the steering head and when I first got my bike it was a slimy mess up there and as you drove it would drip down on the front exhaust pipe and make a mess.
Several of the older bikers suggested using a thick / heavy bodied grease in the steering head and mine has quit leaking / dripping. Especially in hot weather it appeared that the oil would separate from the grease and drip out... I wonder what are the MoCo specs for the steering head...

You've diagnosed your own problem here, very common to have the grease from a fresh greasing do what you have here. Clean out any excess from the bearing with a Q tip and it should stop after a few miles.
Big mistake that some make is to use wheel bearing grease instead of the HD suggested lube as it tends to make things worse.
