Looking at Eastern Performance and eBay the descriptions indicate the kit for 00-06 Softails... though Ness indicates 00 onwards. Has anyone fitted these to an 07 (Deuce)?

I looked into the Ness extended controls and was told by a J&P Cycles rep. that they would fit on an 07, but you have to purchase anew, old version kickstand. The 07 kickstand is different.

I might be updating my own thread here, but the Areln Ness Australian Distributor and Eastern Performance persons have both indicated the 00-06 part is not suitable for 07 and a new 07 part will be available shortly. It may alreay be released but EP doesn't have anything yet. Part number for 2007s would be ARL 07-611.

Beware anyHDI owners, I'm told the part will not fit with the stock HD exhaust due to the location of the air-intake sensors. You'll need to replace the stock exhaust with a full after market system.

Arlen Ness very nice and pretty easy to install, just make sure you have a stand to do it.
I had the wife hold mine up hehehe. She didn't know what she was in for. Only took me about
10 minutes to get em bolted on, the lines and such I did after they were installed.
Now I have a stand to do those things.

I know this is an old thread but I found it during a search for extended forward controls and it was helpful to me - so BUMP.

The only thing I would add is that it wasn't really a 'quickie' job like I kinda thought based on the 'all that's needed is a broad, rock 'n' roll and a beer' comment.... It took me about three hours and yes, I have a motorcycle lift. [8D]

The time consuming part is re-running the brake line on the right side, including the metering block (and the sending unit for the rear brake light)...it just takes as long as it takes to get it all put up properly and the brake bled.

All that being said...the Arlen Ness kit is complete, has everything needed to do the job...and WOW, the extra three inches of legroom rocks!

I bought the kit from Eastern Performance based on this thread...$167~ with 'free' shipping, ordered it last Friday afternoon and it was at my door yesterday (Tuesday). Very fast shipping, very happy all around with both the Ness kit and Eastern. [sm=smiley20.gif]

I did the Kury ext. on my dyna WG. Good quality and a ton more comfortable. Didn't check but I would assume they make a kit for the Deuce as well got mine on ebay 1/2 price, new in box.
