Default clutch adjustment

Every bike I've ever been on, when you pull the clutch, in gear engine off, the bike rolls with more resistance than in neutral, but still rolls. On my 2010 Fatboy, pull the clutch, and the bike is pretty hard to roll. I also notice the bike lurches forward is I start the bike with it in gear. when the bike is running, the clutch appears to be fine, ease out, the bike eases forward, clutch pulled, the bike doesn't appear to try to roll fwd at all that I can notice, the odd perceptions noted above. is that normal? or do I need to adjust my clutch asap?

Thanks-

EJ

Bike lurching when starting in gear=normal. Fix= Start bike in neutral. Your battery and starter will live longer.
Bike hard to roll when not running and clutch pulled=normal. Clutch plates are stuck together mking everything turn.

Thanks, I don't normally start with it in gear, just happened to have done it once today and noticed it. it seems almost impossible to roll in gear engine off, but if that's normal, then I won't make any adjustments.

Thanks-

EJ

Your clutch is your preference of feel. A small amount of drag is right, too much sux. It's like the old nickel or dime at the clutch lever topic, we all have our preferences.
