2001 Softail

I have a 2001 Heritage Soft tail with 88 B engine.
I have a 2007 96 A engine. Can I put the 96 cylinders on the 2001 88 motor?

It won't get you anything. Cylinders are the same size. Difference between 96 and 88" motors is stroke.

I'm not sure of the difference between A and B motors if you're just looking to replace a cylinder and not looking for a bump in displacement.

I think the mounts for the 96 are different than the 88. Someone correct me if I am wrong. Not sure about the jugs being different
