I'm curious as to what everyone averages for annual miles on their non-dressers. I've noticed mine changes drastically from anywhere from 5.5k-15k depending on life and work. Was wondering if others noticed that too?
Since I am retired I am over 28,000 so far and may hit 40. Half is from touring. But not on baggers. I did the ride to Vegas and Laughlin on a Sportster, the ride to Sturgis on a Street 750, a ride to Canada on a Buell and a ride to NHRS V-Twin Performance near Denver on the Buell.
I still have a ride to Texas and New Mexico planned but may take a Road Glide with gel seat and back rest. After all I'm 75.
You don't need to live in So Cal to get in a lot of miles. Just not having a job or obligations is the key. A few dollars helps also.
In the last 12 months I put 14100 miles on my cycle. It's my daily driver. If I ever have to go any where in the car it becomes a chore for me. Like yard work or any other job that I am thinking "I don't want to do this but it's got to be done".
On the other hand whenever I go anywhere on my cycle whether it's a short ride to the store or a long ride cross country, I let out a big sigh as if to say to myself "this is nice. Life is good".
