let you know if it helps the crotch or not. otherwise it still looks cool. I got the gator pattern to match my gator seatz.
going to order up a fender bib for the solo seat when I can get to measuring up the spacing for it. See if he will give me some more gator print. I got a fever and the only things that going to cure it is more gator.
I have one on my '13 Slim and it was DEFINITELY money well spent. I had to stop using it briefly when it wouldn't fit with my Sundowner seat and would nearly be in tears from the heat in traffic. I'd get off the bike and whine whine whine. Capt. Itch was kind enough to respond on a thread here and give me some suggestions on how to make it work with the Sundowner, but I ended up selling the Sundowner and got a new 2-up seat so I didn't have to modify the cooler.
You really cannot buy from better people, either; the Capt. and his wife Isabell are just great people and I had many long email conversations with Isabell when I first purchased. Just good, hardworking people who make an amazing product that I will shout about from the rooftops.
Anybody have a cooler on their softail with an rocker box mounted oil pressure gage?
First of all I echo the great sentiments about the effectiveness of the cooler and the great customer service. I didn't have a problem in FL with my Road King, but the Softail was super hot at stop lights. I think it's the tank of 200 degree oil right by your legs that causes the issue, but whatever it is, the crotch cooler really works and you're supporting a nice small businessman & woman.
I do have a cooler and an oil gauge and there is no interference.
I'll post up my oil gage install thread with pictures.
Of note, I purchased a one leg gauge mount kit from ebay. If someone needs a link to buy it let me know. I ended up buying a braided stainless line to replace the nylon line the kit came with as I was uncomfortable with nylon rubbing against those sharp cylinders, even though I'd zipped tied it to the air cleaner.

I finally found a gauge mount for the front rocker bolt that is nicely out of the way. So far at hot idle my bike is 20+ which I'm happy about.
But I have a question. On the gauge I purchased the brass shows and I don't like that. Anyone have any ideas on what to use to cover this up?
Have one n my Heritage. Works as advertised. No more problem with leg frying in traffic. Only complaint is that the left side gets snagged sometimes when shifting. Not a huge deal though. Recommended.
