Had the luxury of looking them over at Sturgis and am gonna get one. I'm swaying toward the 2 up one for the wife, but wondering if anyone has bought the solo with pillion and can comment on the passenger impressions?
I have but we've only been on one short trip to dinner and back. She said it was fine or ok, something to that effect. She hated the stock pillion and was done riding on it after about 20-30 minutes. I showed her the sundowner and she bought it, no more complaints after that so I was concerned that the DG pillion might be too firm/thin. Will need a longer ride to really know what she thinks but so far so good...

My wife said the same thing on my old Blackline and my new Breakout. She said it was like riding a 2x4. But after a month getting the BL, we got a Butty Buddy. I just couldn't see getting a new seat for a new bike. Since we got the BB, she can ride 10 hours and be fine.
I know I'd like to get my seat altered on my BO because I hate the way it laps I've into the tank. It's not nearly as bad/ugly as the baggers but I still hate it.
I have the breakouts cousin, a rocker. The stock seat was torture after an hour. Went with a Danny Gray WITH SADDLE GEL. I travel long distance on my bike and my rear NEVER bothers me. Great seat, but I would never get one without gel or surname built in. Best 75 bucks for gel I ever spent.
My brother got a new seat for his, another good brand, and saved a few bucks by NOT getting gel and he turns into a nasty grouch after an hour or more on this seat...
Best seat I have ever owned...WITH GEL...
