Hello all, I'm looking for DIY ideas to relocate the plate on my heritage. It stands up to tall for my liking so I was considering chopping up the stock bracket and moving it under the brake light. Anyone tried this? I know there won't be a plate light if I do it so I'll have to figure that out also. Also, ideas for filing the mount holes once I move it? I'm not ready to fill and paint yet. Thanks for the help.
is the laydown plate holder not an option for you? Looks great on my heritage and keeps the light.
I would prefer to move it farther down the fender just because it seems a little cleaner in my opinion. The softbrake brackets look like they'll work though. I considered a side mount plate and tailight but that is more work than I want to do during the riding season. Thanks for the replies.

Here's what I went with for the time being. I just removed the stock mount and mounted the plate to the holes the light bar wires go through. I'm not sure this is the final product but I do like the placement.
