I just realized that was your post Lauren. I was distracted by football I guess.
Did you select a new seat?
I tried the Signature Series yesterday at the dealership, I loved the backrest and position the seat put me in but was only about 80% in like with it, mainly it was too narrow in the front but it did get me off my tailbone so it's a maybe. I put the Sundowner on the bike and sat on it but immediately didn't like the position so I didn't take the bike for a spin.
Still thinking of a quickie ride to Daytona this week if I can get away, or else bite the proverbial bullet and go to Biketoberfest first day for the day and look at all the seats.
Pipes choice to be made when I get the seat sorted. Today it's a Springer day, my butt will thank me.
The Slim S is the hottest bike goin right now around here. That mean very little incentive to discount them at most dealers. You are best to wrangle some parts deals etc
We looked at many dealers. We only talked to anyone that was at Msrp and freight. Many were adding 500-2500 on top. Thanks but no thanks. The one we got Stilettos slim S from gave us the best deal on the trade with no BS.
Who is going to be the first one to address all the chrome bolts everywhere. Front fender, rear fender, front forks, exhaust to mention a bunch.
Its on my to do list, prob over the winter. Thought i could make do with the stock pipes till the 1000 mile service but after riding again today I've decided i can't wait.

Maybe we should tell Harley that they need to make the fittings black. It does seem kind of obvious to me.
Aftermarket pipes are a must. One of the reasons I am buying my first Harley is to get that nice Harley sound. I found the stock pipes on all the new Harleys way too quite. Guess they are trying to good.
I addressed that issue of shiny stuff immediately on my slim. VERY little chrome or shiny bolts on mine left. I found black gloss enamel model paint works great, I also use permanent magic marker as well as black vinyl in some places. About the only thing left shiny on mine is part of the ignition switch. I will take care of the chrome ring around the speedo this week. Havent decided if I want to cover the chrome oil lines yet. If so, I have a plan to do that and the silver brake rotor bolts. I may leave some of the bolts silver just to give it an "Industrial" look
