Well actually there is. The air coming though is used to help push the air coming over the shield up and over your head. Adjusting the flap "properly" makes a huge difference.

Maybe you're not getting it. It doesn't work if you're too tall. The vent just pushes more air into your face.

Didn't you just make this same trip a couple of months ago ?
Looks like you were able to 'strap on' some more 'stuff' this time.

thanks,

About two months ago. Same setup though. The seal bag shrinks and grows relative to laundry and whatever gear I'm wearing.

Windsplitter -- I'm 5-9 and it doesn't work that great for me. It's OK, but not great. Breaks up the turbulence coming up from underneath maybe 10 percent, 20 percent on a good day, depending on wind direction, etc.

Underneath turbulence is best handled with a pair of fangs. Now, those actually work great.

Sucks they only come in chrome but they are 100% worth getting powder coated.

It also sucks that they are uglier than a mud fence, but worth it for a long trip.

I had my reservations with the gaudy chrome but I'm really quite pleased with them after powder coating.
