I am a young guy and have owned over a dozen motorcycles and half of them Harleys. a Springer is plain cool no matter what age you are.
OK you stepping up to the plate to buy a new one if they start making em? That's what the MOCO cares about, not some young guy who had a dozen bikes and thinks they are cool. They are looking for buyers who will put up....not talk about it.
i don't know. i don't think thay can make me buy another.
i have a springer classic, so first they'd have to start selling them again. it's pretty much the only harley i'm interested in having. i'm also not much for needing the latest thing, and mines next to new (got it with 10k mls and only put on a couple thousand more so far). i'm meaning to have it a while. plus i have my own mod ideas. so they'd have to not only start reselling them and talk me into giving up my practically new one, they'd need to make it how i want it. i don't think i have enough pull to get them to make a signature phil t. springer classic model.
beyond that, they'd also need to bring back buell models, or similar bikes under the harley name, specificly an adventure bike, to make me buy another. i don't see that happening either.

I have two newer softails currently and more than capable of getting a third bike and yes if Harley makes a high quality softail springer heritage classic I will get one.

I don't want a carb, but I do like the look of a springer. The Crossbones is probably the best looking bike HD ever made. I understand they handle "differently", but I'd still ride one.
Not a fan of the aftermarket versions though. I haven't been on one that works as good as the HD springer. They did something right with it.

I am not a fan of carb engines either and I agree the Bones is one of the most incredibly cool bikes period.
