I have a 07 softail custom that i want to put a fender mounted seat on does anyone know what seat hardware is needed. i know you need the thumb screw but do you just use a bolt to tighten it down or to you need a threaded mounting hole like the other softails have. please help if anyone knows
I'm currently looking at the Sundowner deep bucket as it should drop me down a little lower so I can get my heels on the ground (damn 30 inch inseam). Also, I'm wanting to switch to a traditional sissy bar set-up so I can use a sissy bar mounted luggage rack. I hate the bobtail luggage racks as they completely hide that beautiful rear fender!!
Anyway, I noticed there is a small plastic plug in the rear fender to accomodate a fender mounted seat but I have never bothered to take it off and see if there is a threaded hole there... That would be too easy huh??
