Does cooler weather really enhance engine performance?
I hear it does a lot.
If true, then why?
Or is this a myth, similar to the one I'd hear a lot that... If you stroke it too much, you'll go blind.

True. Colder air is denser, hence more o2 in combustion chamber=bigger bang. That's why tuner cars and race cars have aftermarket "cold air intakes". And really?......I should have been blinded years ago.

Injected motor...probably, because the injection will adjust the mixture for the cooler air...carb...you can adjust the carb to make more HP with cooler weather...but..if you have the carb jetted properly for warmer weather, cooler weather will decrease HP because it will lean out the mixture. Go to a multi-day drag racing event...if the weather changes, all the carb guys will be re-jetting to account for it.
