I'm going to be building an evo deluxe ground up and right now I'm trying which front end to buy. So I went on Jpcycles.com and deluxe isn't even listed as an option on the models list. As far as I can tell the deluxe is designated flstn(am I wrong?) but this comes up as 'nostalgia' for example in '95 softail models. I'm confused are these the same bike??
Also nowhere on the site does it list that the front ends they do have are ' stock replica' ie fork length, tree rake, axle size etc.
My frame is a krafttech k15001 so it's 0 stretch and 30 degree rake which I assume is stock?? And isn't deluxe stock rake 32 degrees total( neck+ tree)?
Can anyone shed some light on any of this these front ends are costly and I'd hate to deal with getting the wrong parts. I want to keep most of this bike stock other than exhaust wheels( more or less parts that are independent)
If you are looking for a Springer front end for e.g. you could look at a 2006 Springer, and compare the frame (part numbers) with a late model softail frame. You might find the frame is the same.
Good luck, I hope some qualified people chime in on your thread.
Steve

Back in the 90's, HD made a version of the heritage called the nostalgia and designated it as FLSTN. I think the moo glide was part of that FLSTN designation. They only did a few years and then roll forward to 05 and they came out with the deluxe we have now and designated it as FLSTN. Who knows why. Tail light and several other things are different between the heritage and deluxe besides the tail light. Lolly pop turnsignals and fender marker lights are just a few. Hope this helps.
H-D brought out the FLSTN "Nostalgia" in '93. After a copyright dispute with another company over the "Nostalgia" name, they changed the name to "Special" for the following three years the bike was made ('94 thru '96). The model designation remained "FLSTN".
In '05, Harley brought out the Heritage "Deluxe", and for reasons Known only to the MoCo, they reused the model designation "FLSTN".
That's my '94 FLSTN in my avatar. It's a "Special" (and it is to me).
Most of the above info is correct. There are 2 FLSTN models, an Evo and a Twin Cam (2005 and up). They are similar but different models. The suspension is lowered on the Twin Cams, so the front end is most likely different.
