Eh, they look okay... I think they'd look better on my Vivid Black FLSS.

J/k. I love the contrast those wheels provide to the green paint. Looks sick!

Wachuko, few more ideas...
Here's what a Rocker saddlebag looks like on a Slim.
Just in case that swingarm bag turns out to not hold enough.
It didn't for me, so I switched it out...

Custom Dynamics LEDs for license lights

Other idea, StreetStalker front fender
(Cycle Electric regulator visible too)

Just a few more ideas... Hope it helps,

T.

Thank you. Couple of things that I see... Custom Dynamics tag lights, I have those in storage for when it is time to mod the tag mount... still not decided how to change the stock unit. So stock for now is fine.

I did not even noticed you had an aftermarket front fender...

You had to change the rear light mounts... guessing that was due to the rack mounts... I need to decide if I modify the rack or give up the nice-looking turn signal base/mount... and I really like the base of the rear turn signals and do not want to give that up for the few times a rack would be install...

You have to remove the pins from the plug to be able to pull the old gas gauge out... this tool came handy for that. A very thin flat screwdriver also works.

The above is the first picture you've seen it in, most of the previous pics
are a bit dated... And its not "aftermarket", its from HD, guess it'd be
better said non-stock...

Correct, the round stalks replace the arero-stalks and they're relocated further
rearward on the strut. As for the licenseplate relocation, I moved it to an
axle mount, but the one I used was fixed, so I lost the swivel feature.

So its not only the small rack, but even the HD QD sissybars need to TS relocation.
I guess you could go with a bowman fixed/permanent type sissybar, but I wanted
all my "accessories" to be Quick Detach. Even the Rocker saddlebag comes off
in about 5 seconds....

hth,

T.

On the relocation kit... Turn Signal Relocation Kit P/N 54296-11

Reading some feedback in the HD site for that kit..

MAJOR ADDITIONAL PARTS REQUIRED FOR INSTALLATION ON FLS SLIM
September 5, 2014

The instructions were complete (with the exception of what I discuss below), well written, and easy to follow. It would be nice if a plain spacer was provided for use in place of the docking point bushing, part number 67621-94.

The instructions do state "Separate purchase and installation of additional parts or accessories may be required for proper installation of this kit on your model motorcycle". However, more information should be provided.

Installing this kit requires you to also install the License Plate Relocation Kit which is an additional $110. This Turn Signal Relocation Kit is shown to only be used on the FLS Slim. Since it is a specific model kit the instructions certainly should give the buyer this important piece of information. I noticed the issue after the Turn Signal Relocation Kit had been ordered and was able to order the License Plate Relocation Kit the next day so my installation wasn't delayed.

How many people have received the Turn Signal Relocation Kit, started installation #which requires removal of the fender#, and then realized the stock license plate mount won't work now? Well durn it all, what now? Do I put it back together until I figure out what to do? Or is the bike down until this gets resolved?
So just for that I lose side mounted tag and the nice looking turn signal base... I don't think so... not for now at least...

It would be nice if HD offered the Combo gauge with a black bezel option...
Guess you could paint it though.

I ran into the same problem in trying to install a HD sissy bar on my FLSS. The turn signal relo kit necessitated the license plate relo kit (which places the plate below the fender lip and surrounded by cheap reflectors). I told the HD people that I like the plate where it is. Stalemate. They said there is no other alternative from HD. So now I'm trying to find a non-HD license bracket that I can place near where the original one was.

Nice job man, you are a brave guy for making all the extensive mods to the new bike. Cant blame you for wanting the tubeless tires, do the spoke jobs really have tubes?
