For the rack. Did you only cut a relief in the aft end, or did you also move the locking device?
I removed the locks just to be able to make a template of the mounting plate... using the template (out of cardboard) I modified it until it worked without touching the base of the rear signals. Once I was happy with it, I transferred the shape to the metal base.... I used the wheel grinder to take off the material. I wanted to remove as littl as possible. Only to take out what was needed so that I did not jeopardize that mounting tab.
Mounted the locks back and voila! Those worked too! That was lucky as I thought that I would need to build something else to hold them in place.
No need to change anything else. Now I have the rack and the stock rear lights... Yeah baby!!!!

Be right back... they are calling me!
Thanks a lot. I'm getting one now.
I already bought and installed the QD spools. I wanted to try a rack, but installed backward to avoid a clash with the locks forward. Now that I have a 100% chance of it fitting, I'm picking one up.
Since I am sending the seat to Mean City Cycles to get modified for longer range use (memory foam, etc.)... and since they have to replace the back part of the seat, and since I don't want to spend much on recovering (not sure what I will do seat wise, longer-term)... I am asking them to install a brown distressed leather piping...
Similar to what I saw on 1stHD bike...
Poor image editing... just something to bring the brown leather color to the seat without having to fully recover the seat... thoughts?
The thing is that when they modify the padding in the seat, they have to replace the back boarder on the seat cover. They have three industrial sewing machines but none of them are heavy enough to sew the cover back onto the seat pan so what they have been doing is replacing the back panel and building the back of the seat up so you cannot see or feel that lip...
So I was thinking brown distressed leather piping... Just to put a brown leather touch on the black seat. Makes sense?
Removed the bearings from the rear Fat Bob wheel and installed the ABS bearing. Also installed bearings back into the stock front wheel. Every wheel is ready to be used if needed.
Installing bearings back in the stock wheel... ABS bearing gets installed first. This time I remembered to insert the inner spacer before installing the right side bearing.
Also took the time to remove the tire, and installed it back in the correct rotation direction for this bike... Done for today. Once the spacers get here I will continue working on the bike.
Sorry but there seems to be lack of people with Slim-S experience and I have little people to consult with. Would you know if the brake rotor of the 2015 models fit in the 2016 Slim-S considering the FLSS has ABS? Do they have the same mounting holes? Reason I asked is I was thinking of putting a 15" brake rotor with a caliper adapter to fix my caliper scraping the side of the newly mounted 23" Mammoth fat spokes... If the mounting holes are interchangeable then this might be a good solution to my problem.

Oh man... I sold the modified 2013 caliper I had... packed it and shipped it last night! I did not see this on time... I would have tested to see.
Sorry that I can't be of much help with this question.
