different engines? Sportsters are still an Evo II i think.. Personally, I've never cared for the way the BR's sounded.. too raspy for my tastes, but that is totally just my opinion.

My 08 883/1250 with SE slipons is louder then my LO even with straight pipes

My Sporty with Rineharts, definitely sounds more aggressive than my Softail with the D&D Lowcat (perforated baffle).
Everyone always compliments the sound on the Sportster.
