2016 Softail Slim S... security system is not working. I tried following the instructions to see if it was in a specific mode... but nothing seems to work.
Seems like a trip to the dealer is in order.
Has anyone experienced this with a brand new bike?
UPDATE - SOLVED!!: Service forgot to assign pin during the pre delivery inspection... Problem solved!!

Reason: Problem solved...
Did you move the fob away from the bike? not all bike with an alarm have the siren are the blinkers flashing?
That is actually how I found out it was not working... I forgot the fob inside the house, but turned the **** to the ignition position and fired up the bike without problems...
I tried with the fobs inside the house (a good 20 feet away).
Removed batteries from fob.
Tried to set a new pin... it will not even take me to the menu to be able to do that.
No flashing of turn signals... This is not the first HD I have with smart security... RGC CVO and RK CVO had them.
I did a visual inspection, I can see the little box that is the antenna...
Dumbest question in this thread, but are you sure that it HAS a security system? Yes, a trip to the dealer will likely resolve the issue in a couple of minutes. Maybe just a bad connection.

Well... the did give me two security fobs. Security is a standard feature on the Slim S... but maybe someone forgot to install or plug the module in my bike...
Yeah, best to just take it to the dealer since it does not seem to be something that others have encounter.
The arrow points to the TSSM, the antenna is a taped down wire probably below the module. The alarm system is connected to the BSM. Check to make sure it did not wiggle loose (under the shroud behind the rear tire). If there was an issue like being unplugged, I believe you would not be able to start the bike. Like stated above, it is more likely to be in transport mode.
Are you sure it's not in "transport" mode?
That will disable it...
Hummm... Had to look that up... Page 96 of the Owner's Manual - To exit transport mode just turn the ignition switch to IGNITION to disarm the system.
So that was not it. But in the next page there is an option that the dealers can set which is Service Mode. But there is no description on how to set it or turn off Service Mode...
