Coming from my car experience, I would think a motor mount. Not sure how the motor is mounted on the Fatboy, but I know in my car, when I'm hard on it, i can feel the engine vibration when my mounts went out once. That is where I would start. Hope you get issue resolved soon.
Yes, that's my first guess as well since it only happens during wide open throttle on the freeway.
Let off the throttle & it coasts like it is on glass.
Thanks! I think that will be my first thing to check as well. Hard to imagine a motor mount going out at 3800 miles
yeah I would get it checked out. did you buy it from someone or a dealer?
Private party, original owner with 3800 miles. Still has the stock tires on it.
I just talked to our local dealer service tech & he said to bring it in
Tuesday & that it is probably the neck bearings.
He also said I could drop it off today & they would have it done by tuesday & I said ABSOLUTELY NOT! It's supposed to be sunny this weekend & why would I let my bike sit at the dealer until Tuesday haha It's only Thursday!
Good call on taking to shop. I had a bike with front wheel bearing going out. Didn't notice it until it started making noise. Ended up towing the bike due to not wanting to risk runnin 70+ on interstate with something making noise in front end. LOL. Hope its a quick and inexpensive fix for ya.
