Default fat boy lo

Hello everyone,

I had a quick question and I was hoping to get some input from a few people. I am looking at purchasing the new 2010 fat boy lo. I have heard that, that bike makes a terrible passenger bike. Is that true? I don't plan on taking this bike and really long trips with a passenger just short day trips. Can someone who either has one of these bikes or experience with this bike please give me some input?

The Fat Boy Lo is about 1 1/4" lower than a stock Fat Boy, so I'm sure that's what's meant by "terrible passenger bike". While I haven't owned a new Lo, I've had 4 regular Fat Boys in the past (all of them lowered) and while I wouldn't call it "terrible", the ride does start to suffer when you lower a Softail. Doesn't bother me, but the old lady prefers to passenger on my Road King. She WILL get on my Softails before getting on my Shovel but probably because that's in a rigid Paughco frame-lol.

Seems common sense that it will not be as passenger friendly as a bike with more shock travel. My wife has a Deluxe which is a bit lower than my Heritage and there's a difference. FB low is lower than a Deluxe.

But it's all relative and depends mostly on the seat width/padding and endurance level of the azz riding it.
