Mufflers are a very subjective thing. I like the sound of louder pipes at idle, but do not want to ride all day with loud pipes blasting in my ear.
If you can attend an event at the dealership when folks are heading out for a ride. Walk around and find a Heritage with the pipes and ask the owner to start if for you. Almost everybody is happy to do this.
When I heard the SE's back in 07, for me they were too quiet.. Just barely louder than stock (about 2 Db's is what I've read). The older SE's muff's was a looot louder..
I ended up with some Rush 2'' baffles.. 8 yrs now and I still have them on the bike..
