Thanks to all. Some good looking pieces of kit, and most reasonably priced. Not sure if I need anything with even a 5 mile range, although for the extra $100 or so, might just go for it. Like the idea of the throat mike too. It'll make me feel like a WWII fighter pilot!!

but how do you wire in the throat mic into the nady system. I have the newest Nady, very noisy above 45mph and want to go with the throat mic but don't know how to wire it into my nady.
