Default Mufflers or Full system

I don't know which way to go for my two 14 Deluxe ,slip-ons ,or the full system
like the vanes& hines long shots .I believe they have both. And why would someone take off good pipes, why not just put slip ons on save $ and labour ?

I used Rush slipons on my Heritage and am very happy with them.

Looks, performance, and sound. Everyones preference is different. V&H long shots look and sound nothing like stock pipes...even if you add different slip ons.

I was faced with this dilemma also. I chose the slip on route for a few reasons.

First was the style and brand I wanted, 2 brothers Comp S is not available as a full system for my bike. I wanted to stay with the stock color scheme of my bike, chrome pipes and black mufflers, I got the slip ons in Ceramic Black.

Second, since the cats and all the restrictions were in the mufflers on my bike my thoughts were all the gains would be in the muffler.

Third, I really did not care for the look of the full systems available, and I like the look of stock staggered duals configuration.

Cost was not a factor, wish they would have been cheaper but the 2 Bros slip ons cost more than the full systems available out there. In the end super happy with these killer cans!!

I have V&H Longshots with baffles and really like them and always have, although I've been watching a lot of Youtube videos of bikes with Samson true dual fishtail exhaust.

I would like to try them someday with baffles in the 28.5 or 33 length. The only two factors that will stop me is of course the $800 plus cost of them and also, the V-Twin Manufacturing center stand that I just installed, which I like would not work with true duals.

Pipes are a personal preference just like saddles and paint schemes. Read a lot of reviews, listen to sound clips, watch videos and check out other folks bikes with different pipes before you decide. Buy what you really want the first time.

I vote for Vance & Hines StraightShot Slip Ons.
Had them on my 2014 Slim & ordered them for my 2016 FLSTC.
Saved lots of $$$ compared to other options and still get a great sound
with a good looking exhaust system.

Full systems vs slip ons is always a matter of opinion. If you want to change the look of your exhaust full systems will be more drastic. Slip ons are more budget friendly and are plenty of change for most.
