First time Harley owner, but not the first time wrenching on projects. Just a few weeks ago I stumbled upon a softail deal I could not pass up (the wife didn't agree with me, but I did it anyway)
Perfect timing as PNW winter is almost here and I will have plenty of time to get this hog ready for summer. It had a bent front end so this allowed me to build it as I see it fit.
I am still deciding, but I am leaning towards a springer front end, might put in a couple of degrees of rake into the neck 3* at most. I am hoping for a 21-23 inch front wheel (still deciding) so I want a little separation between the tire and the frame, plus a slight rake makes these sleds look bad ***!
This is what she looks like now, more or less, been taking all sorts of **** off just to get acquainted with her
