Maybe all you need is a piece of flat stock between the frame and struts. Possibly milled on an angle.

Well after taking John's advice I installed all the fender struts (inner & outer) off the bike and put it on...is it tight? Yes. Will it work? No question. Everything lines up and bolts on. Any future tinkering with the fender will require it being taken off and reinstalled by bolting everything together off the bike. Any way the 08 and newer struts will work...3rd time was a charm. Thanks for the idea!!!! Saved me some 💵

Seat is not bolted down so if it looks out of whack i just had the seat laying on the fender as I needed to take it for paint.

Glad to see things work! How far did the struts need to be pulled in to line up? Did it bend the fender at all? I am pumped and now will be ordering the 2008 and newer inner and outer frame struts! Your pictures make it look like a factory fit.

The crazy thing is at the mounting point to the frame they actually had to be bent out a tad..it is a snug fit for sure. Crap I'm excited to seeing I had all those parts adding up quickly!! LOL

Do you think these struts will work out ok with my fender being 8 3/4th inches wide?

You should be fine Stal, that WCC fender is pretty light gauge steel, you can easily manipulate it when it's all bolted together.

It will be close but I guess worse case scenario you will have to use some spacers...I do have the deluxe struts that are narrower if the fatboy ones don't work, just let me know I will give you a hell of a deal since I will never use these for crap!!

From what I understand the fender I am using should only be 1/4 inch narrower than the fatboy fender. When you bolted it down did it have to pull the the fender struts in or did you have to widen the struts to be able to stretch on to the frame.

strange I measured the fender inside to inside and it came out to 10 1/2 wide..Never had to pull them in but I sure pulled them out a bit. It is a snug fit so if your going with a narrower fender maybe it will just line up perfect.

DynaJ, Glad it worked out. So used inside and outside struts off of a 08 deluxe and 2010 fat boy fender? With 200mm tire?
