I'm about 2 days away from selling this damn thing...My dealer just called ad they will give me priority on the new dyna lowrider S..maybe just keep this one run the RSD set and get the dyna..really pisses me off.

BTW those pics aren't my bike I got them from this site. The picture on the bottom was a guy that did the swap on his 04 train and it worked but he only ran the inner struts and chopped his rear fender

I don't know what to do either. I am only going to run the inner struts but if they are to wide to hold the fender I will have to go with a set of rsd struts to make sure I have a good fit

I have been reading a few post on people who are doing the 200mm tire swap and they are using the 08+ inner struts and things are matching up for them with a 9 inch wide fender. This guy got it to line up using 08+ night train inner struts and a chopped fat boy fender

I am going to take a ride up to Harley on Saturday to ask some questions. What I think I may do is order the narrow inner struts for a delux and make spacers at the frame where it won't be as noticed. I think the later year softial frames are slightly more narrow compared to the 07 and earlier frames. I measured the frame width at the strut mounting spots and it is just slightly under 12 inches wide. And my new fender is just shy of 9 inches wide having the space at the frame can be made up with steel plates. I also will be able to use the extra space to center the fender over my tire

Do the holes in the frame match up to the struts?

Yes if you haven't tapped out the very front bolt in the frame then you will need to.

Dynaj, my parts are waiting on your results. I have a feeling they will be a close to perfect fit only needing small spacers at the frame.
