i know i should of mentioned it, but i'm looking for the one with the dummy left side . just going to use my odometer for the gas. the electric stock doesn't work as it is already. i'll fill up and 50 miles later it read at half a tank, so why bother.

The gage on my '13 Slim works great. It does seem to start moving toward empty quicker than it should at first. The closer to empty the gage indicates, the more accurate it gets. I base this on fuel milage. (I average 35 mpg around town). I ALWAYS reset milage "A" when refueling. The amber low level light comes on without fail when I have @ 30 miles range to empty displayed in the odometer window.
When refueling, checking total gallons replaced vs Milage confirms all these HD indicators accurate.
So if your bike is like mine, you have "Range" to empty, a warning light, and of course your total miles ridden since last refuel. I agree, the analog Gage is not really necessary.
