Just wanted to post an update. After soliciting some good advice from members of the forum, I returned to my dealership to do battle with a salesman, only to find out the bike I had been looking at had been sold. As we were discussing what I would do next he asked me if I might be interested in something newer if they could make the numbers work. He then showed my a 2015 Heritage that had been used as a demo bike by them that they had just put on the sales floor. Remembering something I have seen written on the forum many times about buying the newest bike you can afford I sat down and started filling out form. When they presented me with what I thought was a fair offer on my trade I agreed to the deal.
I am now the new owner of a Heritage and after a 2 hour ride home ( I actually live 2 miles from the dealer ) I am a very happy guy,
