Default break out

Just wondering where to get aftermarket parts for my breakout. Harley dealer said that they are not making many parts for it. Will regular softail footpegs and trim fit it?

They're trying to BS you. My passanger footpeg bracket and my pipes aren't HD. Most any online "store" has parts for a BO.

Your dealer should have a parts catalog.

HD has an online store if you were not aware. Decent amount of Breakout parts on there.

Yes sir I have the catalog. I know he didn't have any parts in stock for it I just came back to the softail side after trading in my v-rod , because of the same reason. I have owned several softails, but this bike kind of stands by itself. Thanks guys for the info.

If Kingwood Harley doesn't have BO parts, take a ride across 242 to Woodlands Harley (same owner). They have plenty in stock. Several parts I bought from them were in stock, no wait. If you bought the MVP plan from Kingwood, it's valid at Woodlands too.

Dealership was trying to get my to go Street Glide over the Breakout, and that's what the parts guy was pushing on me. No aftermarket support for the Breakout. Knew he was FOS, went with the FXSB. JP Cycles and a bunch of smaller companies will have stuff for the bike. Hit those and shop.harley-davidson.com. You'll be fine.

HD's online store is a good resource for part numbers.

Use those part numbers and plug them into Surdyke's website to get a better deal.

Also JP Cycles and Dennis Kirk and many others have numerous aftermarket parts.

The main thing I like about breakouts is they are not a Street Glide. Go to any large gathering and there is a lot of confusion as to which bike belongs to which owner because it seems like everybody and their brother has a black Street Glide.

The Breakout is something different. At first, of course there was a lack of accessories like exhausts etc but they have been out long enough that there is as much support for them as any other model.
