2016FLSTC, Kuryakyn makes a chrome spacer that goes on the shaft before you put the shift lever back on. This looks more finished than a cap on the end of the shift shaft. Got it from J&P.

Beautiful bike! I like the solo look too. I have always liked the Heritage with its Retro look. I am looking at the new model myself. I sold my Ultra last year and currently riding a naked bike. I need something for much longer trips. You did right by having the dealer install your accessories before you got it. Now it will sound good and look awesome from day 1.
1harleyfan My FLSTC dealer provided free installation on all accessories purchased at the time I bought the bike. I liked the fat handle bars I had on on my 2014 Slim and was thinking putting them on my FLSTC. I'm hoping I can get use to the 1stock bars after a few rides. If not I missed my free chance on the free installation.
