So I ordered the docking hardware I needed to mount the used H-D Nostalgic shield I bought from a friend of mine and just had to laugh at what $52 buys you from the MoCo.... 4 screws, 4 rubber bushings and 4 flat washers. You gotta love it.
Unfortunately, it's not the first time I've spent twice what something is worth from H-D and it surely won't be the last.
And I'm not sure if you are aware of it yet, but those fasteners will be rusty in a year.

hi, I jz get the windshield kits part no 58595-97 to fit the windshield in my softail deluxe, unfortunately the screw is too short..
i m looking exactly what you show in the picture.. can you provide me the part number??
Thanks!
I put on the HD nostalgic removable windshield on my 2005 Deluxe. I like the way it looks and blocks the wind on the road, but don’t like the updraft turbulence. I was thinking about the HD Deflectors (Fangs), but the shop and catalog say they will only fit 2006 and up. Has anyone tried them on a 2005 Deluxe? If so what modification did you make?

Does anyone have the part number to this docking kit?
Are any of these bolts available separately, or if not, does anyone know who makes a bolt similar to the proprietary bolt with the special head on it?
These things rust in no time....Harley should be ashamed of themselves selling such low quality parts. Argggggg

There are lots of threads on this subject, hope this helps:
I think Harley changed the shape of the Fangs a few years ago, from a look like they were bent in a brake to a more "finished smooth shape", This may have something to do with the HD fit but I don't think the mounting holes have changed for many years.

Dare I chime in, 25 posts later? Those clips fasten underneath the mounting hardware for security. The rubber grommets hit with a armorall, woodys, or some similar application make easier on and off. All Deluxe windshields sit that close to the tank. I use mine when I hit the freeway or road trips, puttin around locally I take it off. Preference thing.
Edit: I imagine all that was covered by now but just had to chime in
