My bike, with my mag wheel is an ideal candidate for a car tire swap. But I just can't live without my white walls!

For those of you that use car tires. Do you prefer the unidirectional or the more old fashion bias?

Here's a great article from one of the most venerable car mag that still exists today and how they compare car tires vs. mc tires on cruisers. http://www.roadandtrack.com/car-cult...r-motorcycles/

Several of my riding friends are darksiders. 40000 miles on a tire is appealing. I can't fit one on mine and that is the only reason I don't. I have tried to keep up with some of them on the dragon and they grip just as good as regular tires IMHO.

I had a 195 60 16 on my 2011 Road king for 20 k miles. It almost good as new when I traded for the 2013 Flhtc. As soon as the stock rear tire wore out at I believe around 9K miles I replaced it with a 195 60 16 . I now have 31K on the clock and the tire still has lots of miles left as in thousands.

I had a flat on both stock tires and none on the car tires.

That my friends is nothing but the facts jack.

Oh and they handled as good if not better than stock tires. A little different not bad just different.

A lot of nay Sayers on here that never tried em . Why? Don't like the thought don't come here.

You can scroll through this and see. It looks like one would be the 195/55-16 General Altimax HP.

My older bro runs a Bridgestone Run-Flat on his '07 Goldwing. Like [most] all the others who've gone DarkSide, he says he'll never go back. He's a Double-DS; runs a [bike] rear tire up front.
