Well after 5k miles on the stock seat it is time for a change. I going change it up with a pogo style seat.

I found a really cool tuck and roll solo seat that matches my solo bag really well, but when I tried to install it on the "T" bar bracket it did not fit. So know I'm going to go with the Harley 1929 style tractor seat. I may make a cover for it since black leather in Las Vegas is a terrible combonation.

Here is the seat I wanted to use.

I see you have the rear 't-bar's edge pointing down. I initially had mine installed
that way, but then I didn't want anything to 'snag' on it so I flipped it. Seems
to be less obtrusive that way, but to each his/her own. Here's a pic;

I will have to look at at that. Is your seat a Harley catalog seat?

No, It's a Corbin-Gentry leather 'copy' of the 1920s police seat from V-Twin Mfg.
Corbin-Gentry has quite a few selections (unlike harley) so you can get them
in brown/black and stitching styles of you choice. They're a bit (not much)
cheaper than Harley as well. Hightly recommend you d/l the V-Twin catalog
so you can decide what you like/dont like.

hth,

T.

Thanks for the tip, I will have to check them out. Did you have any fitment issues with the pogo bracket?

I installed a set of 22" Paughco Bell Tip mufflers and reused the stock heat shields. I am very happy with the sound as well as the look.

Good stuff; thank you for your service.

I was just going to say - "all this awesome custom modification and the exhaust is still stock?" - and then last post.

Thanks... now I'm looking at pogo seats for my slim.

Biggest issue is that there are no instructions for anything,
seat mounting or bracket.

What kind of 'fitment' issues are you having?

My question is; where did you put the grounding wires? Right now mine are using the same bolts but just on top of the pogo bracket. I don't like the way it looks so I want to find another location.

I have the bracket installed and when I tighten the base where the spring is, it seems to bind the "T bar" up some. For that I can just shim one side with a washer to fix that.....not sure if you ran into that same problem.

Thank you.

I had a hard time deciding on an exhaust.

1. I'm too cheap to spend $700+ on a full exhaust

2. I wanted something that looked a little different and had that "old school" look

What finally pushed me to order the exhaust was;

I was almost clipped when a driver did not see me as they were cutting across 3 lanes, then I had a driver pull out into my lane forcing me into on coming traffic then I was almost backed over in the parking lot.

This all happened on the same day, so needless to say I ordered the exhaust that night.
