I have a street glide and the horns are tucked up almost behind the faring and behind the triple trees. I "could" tilt them up or down, depending if I was worried about rain or dust/dirt. There is so little that hits them where they are located and I do not make a habit or driving in the rain and/or mud.
They are very loud, as a dim-whitted kid pulled in front of me and then hit his brakes to turn. He sure got out of his cool-slouch position when I hit the horn button. (2) Fiamm horns, (1) relay and some 10AWG wire cost me under $25. One of the best and cheapest upgrades I have done.

Update: I ordered a horn for my wife's bike, it arrived yesterday, but it doesn't work. Long story short, she now has my Howard's horns, and I just ordered another set.
