Default Black Rotors

I purchased black Wilwood Rotors for my fatboy and they wore thru the black on my first ride. Do they make black rotors that will stay black and not rub through? I run Lyndall Xtreme pads too

I was looking at the ones on www.hdwheels.com

lyndall are the only rotors that will stay black...or braketech cmc rotors...i have the cmc carbon rotors on my panigale super light and last forever...but very $$$..the only reason i got them is that i traded my stock forged wheels and 3k for bst carbon wheels with rotors...he paid almost 8k for this set-up

Yes those are composite rotors (says so in the product description). They will stay black because the composite compound itself is black. most importantly, they will stop you better. you will need new pads designed for those rotors. do not re-use your old pads, I would call Lyndall to ask what pad they recommend for these rotors and your particular application / riding style. Also make sure you follow the initial break in procedure to the letter.

nice purchase if you get them- I would shop around though for best price.

When I put the Wilwood rotors on my Slim I was told to run my old pads until the paint wore off because it gums up the pads. I did as told and then changed out to new pads...you might need to clean those pads really good.
