I got my Vance and hines pipes with only a week wait the fishtails five weeks but they were shipped today. I was told by V&H that in three months 4000 sets were sold they are always back ordered and like i said in another post they are putting a hurting on Samson with the arrival of the Vance & Hines true duels
dont know about v@h puttin a hurt on samson, people just have a choice now. samson owned the fishtail market, and still do by the looks of vances ' fishtails.they look ok . but who exactly are they tring to imitate?hmmmmmmmm........
Let me start by saying i have never had a Samson system but i have had quite a few V&H systems and i do like there quality.I believe onthe Samson fishtails you cant remove the baffles which,if trueis dumb in my opinion. If i actually heard one of these systems and was happy with the sound then cool, but i am not forking out my hard earned where pretty much i am stuck with the sound. At least with the V&H you can change baffles easily and experiment until you find the sound you prefer.
I have also heard the Samson fishtails are very restrictive due to the design of the fishtail tips. This has been discussed heaps already and everyone will have a different opinion. My V&H softail duals are on and i am happy with the look and sound which is the important thing.Just wish the damn fishtail tips would arrive !!!
It would be a very boring old world if we all liked the same things........
YIKES - watch the pipe on the left side. I was duck-walking the bike backwards the other day (with shorts on) and got quite a burn on the rear/inside of my leg. Didn't realize the pipe was so close there...
i had to use two different plates to make the one i started with a drag specialties lay down plate made for the tombstone light the backing plate on it is thin and can be bent I then bought the KĂźryakyn lay down plate but it was made for the regular style tail light and would not mount so i used the backing plate from the drag specialties which i was able to bend to the curve of the KĂźryakyn wound up costing me about 80 dollars total
