I purchased a new 2016 Breakout on Saturday and wanted to add a few accessories at the time of delivery. One of the items I wanted to add was the combination speedometer tach in the Harley catalog. The fine print states that it will only fit 13 - 15 models. When I started looking online to see what the difference is between the 15 and 16 I haven't been able to see any difference. I checked the part number for the OEM speedometer online and the part number for the 15 shows revised, and the revised part number is the same as the 16. I gave this info to my local dealer, and they came back telling me something must be different between the 15 and 16, so it will not work.
My question is, has anyone with a 2016 breakout added the combination speedometer tach? Or does anyone know whether or not if one will fit?
I've noticed a few other discrepancies with part numbers... Like on the "sample build" of a Slim S it shows the diamond cut fuel gauge and that is listed to only fit models up to 2008. I haven't been able to get a clear answer on anyone if that's a goof up or if there's a revision or what...
EDIT----->>> ****.... nevermind, that is shown as a non-US one and it links you to a US one that does NOT have the 2016 Breakout listed... Weird that it came up in my search in the US site...
