Default Combo Speedo/Tach differences

Ok, perhaps I am just not seeing this but I cannot for the life of me see any difference between harley PN:74774-11C and PN:70900070B, other than the price. Huh!?

Please help set me right.....FWIW, would be for my '14 RK

The -11C fits '14 and later Kings, and the other are for non-Rushmores. I have the one for non-Rushmores.

Thanks, but what I couldn't understand is that I entered my bike and year in the Harley parts website and both came up....guess, got to be careful.

Just have to check the Fitment tab on the site and it says for which model years. They pretty much let the customers figure it out.

General question: are you guys generally pleased that you upgraded? If so, how come; and I suppose, if not, why.

I was also wondering if or how you get the bikes actual mileage on the new speedo....is the data stored in the speedo or on the bikes computer? Does one have to take it to a dealer? Hope not......

thanks all : )

I like the analog speedo/tach combo for its look and function.

It is two gauges in one, has a fuel gauge, gear indicator, and multiple idiot lights (security, oil pressure, ABS, etc). You can select whether it displays the fuel gauge and/or gear indicator. It also has a clock (you select 12 or 24 hour), two trip odometers and roughly calculates distance to empty. You can set the color for the backlight (which automatically comes on in low light levels), the speedometer needle and odometer needle. Your choice is millions of colors for each.

The odometer reading on your bike is stored in the ECM. When you install the speedo, it comes with a data cable to download the odometer reading to the new gauge. You can do this. It does not require the dealer.

Be aware that once installed, if you ride 31 miles or more the gauge is now married to the bike. It cannot be installed on another vehicle and the dealer cannot change that.
