Fatboy neutral issue
I would guess this has been covered before, but maybe somebody can help a guy out. I have a 2015 Fatboy Lo and though I love the bike I do not like that neutral is impossible to find when the bike is running! I would love to be able to roll up to a stop and let my hands relax a little. Does anybody have a fix or tip to find neutral?

When I changed over from forwards to boards I put the shift lever right against the mount. The extra drag May have made it hard to find nutral. Also the lever on the forward controls has a different angle on the lever. It looks different so it may have more/less leverage by design. I just swapped levers to see if it helps

Before i removed the heel shifter, I used it to get my 2014 Lo into neutral. I found that was the only thing I used the heel shifter for and after I caught my pants on it once, it was gone.
I also changed the tranny fluid to Ams V-Twin Tranny fluid. It is thicker than 20/50 and made it a lot easier to put into neutral.

Have a 16 S now, last bike was a 14 Lo.
Both were pretty difficult to hit N.
Changing both my primary and tranny fluids to aftermarkets helped a lot, going to an extended shifter lever made it almost hard to miss. The extra leverage of the longer toe shifter lets you move it with less force and more precision. I never even THINK about missing neutral anymore, it's just "there". If your stature lets you get some use out of the longer shifter arm, it's a great mod for comfort as well...

It's usually easier to get into neutral if you do it while you're still rolling, before coming to a complete stop.
